Vietnam is a beautiful country situated in the Southeast Asia, with ¾ of the territory covered by forests and mountains, it possesses a lot of spectacular natural sceneries. What’s more, it is endowed with two World Natural Heritage Sites including Ha Long Bay and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park.
Vietnam is influenced by the Chinese and French culture but has maintained their uniqueness by combining their ethnic lifestyles with the new external influences. The busy Ho Chi Minh City is a perfect example, it has retained its French colonial influences but has embraced capitalist reforms with great enthusiasm, it is clogged with traffic, bursting with energy and enlivened by excellent restaurants, shops and bars.
Climate & when to go
Vietnam stretches more than 1,118 miles from north to south, and the weather in the northern and southern cities is very different. In the north, winter stretches from November through April, with temperatures averaging 16oC, and little rainfall, while the summer begins in May and lasts until October. During these months it can be very hot, with an average temperature of 30oC, along with heavy rainfall and the occasional typhoon. In the south, temperatures are fairly constant through 25oC to 30oC.
Vietnam’s climate is not just steamy hot as what you are frequently exposed to on movies. All year round here, there is always a perfect place where it is pleasant to travel to. Basically, the whole country falls into the tropic and subtropics but its stretching length and diverse topography allow it to span several different climate zones. The weather thus, tends to vary considerably from season to season and also from region to region.
